Santa Clara, California
Strategically located in Silicon Valley, this data center has one of the lowest PUEs in this dense technology region and is seismically reinforced to an importance factor of 1.5.
Our Santa Clara data center is powered by a looped SVP utility feed that is routed to three (3) 2.5 MVA substations configured in a distributed redundant architecture. From each substation, two (2) 750 kVA/kW unity power factor UPS units are paralleled together to provide power to PDUs on the data hall floor.
This site uses highly efficient 130 ton hybrid air handlers (AHU) configured in an N+1 topology to deliver conditioned air to the IT loads. ASHRAE TC9.9 recommended temperature conditions are maintained throughout the year. Due to the configuration of the hybrid AHUs, there is not a need to use mechanical cooling over 87% of the year, which has resulted in an annual PUE of better than 1.3.
This facility is on-net for a number of carriers and to augment this connectivity BGP service can be purchased through Server Farm. We provide carrier neutral carrier connect, dark fiber and light fiber. To augment our carrier neutral data center, Server Farm has also enhanced our connect options via providing a layer 2 transport to major carrier peering points (10M – 300M, with 10G – 100G of up to 16 channels.
